A digital attendance system is software that records, tracks, and manages employee working hours electronically instead of relying on paper registers, spreadsheets, or manual punch cards. It captures clock-in and clock-out data, applies attendance rules, and converts day-to-day time records into usable inputs for payroll, leave, overtime, and workforce reporting.

How It Works

Attendance can be captured through biometric devices, facial recognition, RFID or swipe cards, mobile apps, web check-ins, or GPS-enabled field attendance. The system records the time and depending on the method, the employee’s location or identity verification details.

Once the data is captured, the system maps it against configured workforce rules, such as:
